Infant/Toddler Center (Birth to 2 years of Age)

Nestled in historic Oak Knoll Park in Clayton, the Infant/Toddler Center provides children ages birth to two years of age with a nurturing, safe environment in which to play, laugh, learn, and grow. The Center has the distinct honor of being one of only a handful of infant centers nationwide that is accredited as an independent, private school. Every room has a curriculum filled with developmentally appropriate activities designed to help little ones reach important social, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive milestones. Features of the program include:

  • Child/Teacher ratios as low as 3:1. Lowest ratio offered by an area center.
  • Experienced, degreed and tenured teachers.
  • Developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Music, movement, and art activities incorporated into daily schedule.
  • Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. No before or after care transitions or costs.
  • Year-round program with fun, summer program.

Preschool Program ( 2 years to 5 years of Age)

Clayton Child Center's Preschool program is second to none. Accredited as an independent school by ISACS (Independent Schools of the Central States), the program focuses on helping children build the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic skills they will need to successfully transition to elementary school. Our oldest preschool classroom, the Blue Room, serves as a wonderful junior kindergarten experience for students with an emphasis on pre-writing, math, and reading skills. We also offer a senior kindergarten classroom as part of our Clayton Academy program. Parents of children who miss the traditional kindergarten age cut-off date should contact us to discuss what kindergarten options might be available for their child at CCC.   • Part-time and full-time care available. Half-day morning program offered for two and three-year olds.

Clayton Academy (Kindergarten to 8th Grade)

Clayton Academy is an independent, private K-8 school fully accredited by ISACS (Independent Schools of the Central States). The Academy's mission is to educate and inspire bright children with unique or different styles of learning to reach their full potential. Class sizes are generally ten students or less. Applications for admission are accepted on a rolling basis.

Summer Program & Camp Chautauqua (Ages 3 to 5th Grade)

We have your passport to summer fun! For children ages 3 until pre-kindergarten, we offer a full-day summer program with fun themed weeks filled with exciting activities. Call our office at 314.727.2643 to receive information on our 2012 Summer Program as soon as it is available.

Children entering kindergarten through 5th grade can enjoy a summer at our day camp called Camp Chautauqua. The camp offers ten 1-week sessions each with its own theme and activities. You choose which sessions you want to attend or enroll in the whole summer. Camp operates from 7:30 to 4 p.m. with after-care available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Breakfast (for those who arrive before 8:30 a.m.), lunch, and snacks are available.
